At the behest of the government, the PTA has banned Tik Tak.  Tik Tak was banned for sharing immoral and inappropriate content. The PTA banned Tik Tak following public complaints.  The PTA had given Tik Tak a deadline to file the final notice and reply.

  Tik Tak was banned from resolving complaints.  The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority informed the Tik Tak management about the ban.  The decision to ban the removal of immoral content and appropriate action may be reconsidered.

  According to the PTA, it had received a number of complaints regarding the tick-tock and also had concerns over the content.  Tick-tock has been warned in the past, but according to the PTA, it has not taken the necessary steps to curb such content, after which the PTA has decided to impose the ban.
  ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has finally shut down the short video sharing application Tik Tak in the country for not removing inappropriate content.

  According to a statement issued by PTA, Tik Tak failed to remove inappropriate and controversial content from the application during the given period, which is why Tik Tak is being shut down in the country, the Chinese application management said.  Was repeatedly instructed to remove controversial and inappropriate content, but the app administration failed to do so. According to Dawn News, TickTalk was banned from October 9 for not removing controversial and inappropriate content.  ۔
